To Go Or Not To Go

We are on the fence about taking a road trip to Seaside, FL next month. I have found homes that are still available for rent and we know the route we would take. It's a long drive and will subject us to gas stations, food establishments, public bathrooms, people that we don't know and possibly the need for a hotel midway as the drive is 12 hours from door to door.

I don't feel great about the trip and that is probably why I need to go with my gut. This summer may just be a summer to stay put. Maybe a local, closer to home trip? Something that wouldn't be such a loss if we had to cancel?

Most of my friends are staying home this summer and I am leaning that way too.

I tend to be the final decision maker in my home. Jeff gives his blessing and then I am the one to pull the trigger. Or not.

It's kind of a lot of pressure.

I think I may go easy on myself and just decide here and now that it's a "no-go". It seems the safest decision in this uncertain climate.

There's that word again. Uncertain and Uncertainty. Anyway I slice it, in my opinion,  the word means lean towards "no".  A vacation should not be filled with hesitation, doubt or worry and if it is going to have any of those elements then I suppose the answer is to let it go.

Better safe than sorry.

Silver lining for the day: I scored TWO tubs of Clorox wipes at Target this morning!
