Respect the Snooze
I hit snooze three times this morning and finally got out of beda a little before 6:30 AM.
I had the same debate I have most mornings in my head as I contemplated getting up.
It is summer. I am a stay at home mom. I don't have anything that I HAVE to get up for except for myself.
Except for myself. I do it for myself. I get up early and make my bed and get the day going earlier than later for ME! It makes ME feel better!
Yes, it is hard in those initial seconds of making the move to climb out from under the weigh and warmth of my bed covers. Bu once I am up, I don't look back. I don't wish to be be back in bed.
It is just the getting up that is hard. The initial sting. It lasts for but a moment and then momentum and my mind kick in and on and I am ready to go!
And I go!
Until nap time. Grin.
But for several hours I am a machine and it feels good!
Snooze is fine but it is not to be abused. Respect the snooze button!
Silver lining for the day: I went off my clean eating plan yesterday (planned) but the scale shows that I was able to stay in a decent weight range despite the treats I indulged in. Thus setting me up for a good mindset to get back on the plan and keep going!
