I Am Good
I've been good. I suppose. My family has been healthy! That's everything right now, right?
We've had happiness and harmony (for the most part) in our home so that's good too! Right?
But I'm weary of all this stuff going on in the world right now. My children are weary of it. I had a chat with my daughters on the patio yesterday and I can tell that they are both just sad and worried about what the world is going to look like for them as they graduate school, start careers, families. All that. Young adults are usually so optimistic and have a "we can conquer anything" way about them and yet yesterday, I could tell they have deeper concern than normal.
Our refrigerator decided yesterday would be a good day to die. That was NOT fun. I had just been to the grocery store. Fully stocked. No extra refrigerator in garage!
So, yesterday we had a technician out, bought dry ice and made the decision to purchase a new refrigerator that will be delivered today!
We have had to replace our washer and dryer during quarantine too! Appliances just don't last as long as they used to! All three appliances were under six years old!
Anyway, I did enjoy a pint of ice cream last night! That was good! And we watched the movie "I Can Only Imagine" as a family. I don't know why I kept putting off watching that as it's been out forever and I love a good Christian movie. However, last night I realized why I had put it off. I had put it off because God knew I would need to watch it last night! The movie was just what my soul needed after a stressful day of melting food and snappy conversations between my husband and me!
Today should be a good pool day as we wait for our refrigerator. Not the best sky to hang under with the "Sahara dust clouds" that are lingering! But hopefully we can just chill out today!
So that's a mouthful!
Silver lining for the day: Pizza for dinner!
