All Is Well

So I come to this space today to write that all is well today.

I feel a bit less cranky today. So far.

I had a Zoom meeting with my Bible Study group last night and without a doubt, the time was well spent and it calmed me and it blessed me. The time spent face-to-face with Godly women that I am comfortable with was a gift. We are doing a study called "Keep It Shut" by Karen Ehman and the timing couldn't be more perfect.

We had no idea when we chose "Keep It Shut" last summer that we would find ourselves in the middle of a pandemic and would be quarantined in our homes. We had no idea what it could possibly feel like to watch our country come to a standstill as people got sick and died from an uncontrollable virus. We had no idea that we would be spending unusually large amounts of time with those that we share a home with and just how trying on patience that would be! We had no idea! But God did!

"Keep It Shut" is teaching us what to say, how to say it and when to say nothing at all.

Could these lessons be more timely? We are all under a strange type of stress right now. Crankiness is to be expected.  However, knowing how to work around that crankiness and not let it leak out onto others by way of our words is a sign of self-control and is always desired but especially during a pandemic!

"Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." James 1:19-20
